Terms & Refund Policy

These terms apply to lunches ordered through this site from MDQ Academy (40 Kings Park Rd, Commack, NY 11725). By paying for an order you agree to them.

How ordering works

Lunch is ordered one month at a time, for each child, from the menu the school publishes. The price per lunch is shown on the menu.
Ordering closes at the deadline shown on the menu (Eastern Time). Some weeks close earlier so the vendor can shop; those cutoffs are shown on the order page. Orders cannot be placed after a cutoff.
An order counts only once it has been paid. Nothing is reserved for an unpaid checkout, and an unfinished checkout is discarded.
Payment is made to MDQ Academy through Square. The full amount is charged at checkout. Prices are in US dollars.

Changes and cancellations

Once paid, an order cannot be changed — days cannot be added, swapped or removed, because meal counts go to the vendors as soon as ordering closes.
If you paid by mistake (for example twice for the same child, or for the wrong child), contact the office right away and before the ordering deadline; we will cancel and refund the duplicate.

Refunds

Missed lunches are not refunded. Absences, early pickups, field trips, snow days and other closures decided after ordering closed do not qualify for a refund or credit, because the meals have already been ordered from the vendor.
If the school cancels lunch service for a day (for example a vendor problem), that day's lunches are refunded or credited to your next order.
Refunds approved by the office are returned to the card used to pay, through Square, normally within 5–10 business days.
The lunch program never issues refunds automatically; an order shown as cancelled has been reviewed by the office.

Food and allergies

Meals are prepared by outside vendors chosen by the school, and all meat is Zabiha Halal as certified by those vendors. Meals may contain or come into contact with nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, sesame and fish. The school cannot guarantee an allergen-free meal; if your child has a food allergy, speak to the office before ordering.

Accounts

Keep your password private. You are responsible for orders placed from your account. Please keep your children's homerooms up to date so lunches reach the right classroom.
